An Aunt of mine, or rather a Tita, as we call it in the Philippines, was home for a few months last November. To celebrate togetherness, we went to Garin Farm in San Joaquin, Iloilo. Though it may be a little far from the city, it gained it's popularity by fusing agriculture, leisure, and pilgrimage in a 14-hectare inland resort.
Caileigh loves to swim and to wander around in a playground. Which is why on her third birthday, it made sense to bring her to the mountains.
Campuestohan is a well known inland resort in Negros Occidental. Strategically built at the foot of a mountain, high enough to experience lower temperatures and feel the clouds when they sometimes pass by. It is very popular for family outings and such as they have two huge playgrounds for the kids, challenging activities (zip line, obstacle course, hanging bicycle rides, etc) for the adults, and two separate swimming pools for everyone.
A gigantic and very mad gorilla with the beautiful mountains behind him. We were blessed to visit Campuestohan on a sunny day. The last time we went there, it rained and it was too foggy as the clouds were really low that time. It was good hanging out under the sun this time.
The resort is also constructing a wave pool and new activity areas. You can see a portion of it behind us.
Father and daughter having a "moment". They're so sweet.
Caileigh making it clear that she doesn't want to be in any of the photos.
CJ playing with my phone's front camera and monopod. You can see his selfie photos here.
A little miracle, she smiled for the camera!
Oh well, typical Caileigh.
Caileigh and I went for a swim but we got out after about 15 minutes because the water was too cold. Bbrrrrr
They call this the Cable Hamster Wheel, the first on its kind and the only existing one in the whole world. You have to roll the circular cage by walking on it, like how a hamsters would, while having a view of the whole resort from a higher perspective.
Ending this post with a panoramic view of the resort. Click to enlarge.

Caileigh turned three this month!!! We know how much she loves Peppa Pig so we threw her a party to celebrate her day.
Peppa Pig is just like any other toddler. Playful, curious, and often most of the time, a little naughty. She has her Mommy Pig, Daddy Pig, and a little brother called, George. She goes to playschool with other anthropomorphic animal friends. She's the closest with Suzie Sheep and Rebecca Rabbit. It's a British show and Caileigh just loves listening to how they speak. At some point, she has called me her Mommy Pig, and has made numerous references to the show like how she'd love to eat chocolate cake because it's Daddy Pig's favorite and saying "not very well" as Peppa said when she had the flu. I can go on all day telling you stories how much Caileigh loves Peppa Pig. (She has a set of Peppa Pig knickers and always wears them first)

The best thing next to sharing pregnancy tips, is that when you conceive together with family members and some friends, your kids get to spend play dates together. Reunions would mean catching up regarding your kids' progress and future plans like when you'll enroll them to daycare or when you're planning to add kid #2. (Talking about making love doesn't sound off anymore hahaha) Nonetheless, it's fun meeting other moms and other kids as well considering how happy Caileigh must be to be play with other kids since she's the only child at home.
We have three kids at home in Iloilo. We have Jonshu (2 years old), my cousin's first born, Enya (4 months old), her second child, and of course little Caileigh. When my cousin goes to work during day time, her mum takes care of the kids. Can you imagine running after a toddler when suddenly an infant cries from her sleep - all at the same time? Tough work, I tell you and I applaud my Aunt for that though I pity her more. It's just very overwhelming.
Jonshu with Caileigh. Both acting crazy after having fast food. Just typical toddlers.
Sorry if I have been MIA for a few weeks. Since my admission at the hospital, I've spend most of my time nesting hoping to prepare ourselves in case the baby goes out ahead of time. We don't have a spare room to build a nursery so we just tried our very best to make our bedroom baby friendly - and it meant scrubbing the floor tiles, washing off some of the wall stains, and dusting every corner of the room.
Who would have thought that washing tons of baby clothes isn't as easy as it seems? I mean, onesies are the trickiest ones to fold especially those with long sleeves and closed toes. They look so delicate I didn't want any crease on them. Also, choosing which clothes to bring to the hospital is very hard. Can't I just bring everything?? hahaha!
Anyway, we've just reached our full term and our baby Caileigh is free to go out anytime from now! So... wish me luck! Hopefully I could take some time to update my blog before everything gets busy
