Guimaras 2012

My first summer getaway for this year! The Guimaras Island is a part of the Province of Iloilo. I've been to the island for a dozen of times already but every trip is a different adventure. This year, instead of travelling from Iloilo, we tried commuting from Pulupandan (Negros Occidental and an hour jeepney ride from Bacolod City) to the far end of Guimaras. I'd say the route was terribly inconvinient but for us who went out on a tight budget, it was an "okay" rather than spending extra bucks for the ferry to Iloilo.
The last time I went to Guimaras was sometime in 2011 when I went with my cousin to Guisi. This year the group decided to visit Alubihod. It is probably the most overrated place in the island. No kidding. People would sometimes think that it's the only beach to visit since Raymen's is the most popular resort in the area. But because most of us wanted to go island hopping, we chose to stay there.

Belle

bought a cheap pen and tablet last month as I've been so curious with digital painting. I can't believe I actually thought that it would be easier than drawing by hand. It took me some time to get used with the pen, my grip, my pressure, etc. perhaps the only advantage with this is the ability use ctrl + Z. hahaha! The photo above is the current one that I made. I just used the hair from my base photo because well, I still don't know how to paint haiiir :( I could still use some more work here but I'm tired as hell so..

The Young Ones

Revisiting old photos and had the sudden urge to edit photos from last year's fun shoot (photos here and here) with Darlene, Myka, and Ameg. I love the quirky ones and decided to add PNG's on them. I hope the girls won't mind :D
There's this song that's been bothering me, in a good way, and it has the phrase "the young ones" in it but I can't seem to remember the title not the band. It was used in Gossip Girl and it has a very catchy whistling tone in the beginning. gaaaaah. EDIT: the song is "Young Folks" by Peter Bjorn and Johnand the phrase in the chorus was "young style" not, "young ones" hahaha! but whatever, enjoy this set! :)
